Epiphrenic esophageal diverticulum is rare and often associated with abnormalities of esophageal motility. Here, we report a case of a patient diagnosed with high-resolution manometry as having epiphrenic esophageal diverticulum with esophagogastric junction outflow obstruction, which were successfully treated with laparoscopic transhiatal surgery.
