The definition of high-risk (HR) multiple myeloma (MM) is still a matter of debate. We prospectively evaluated the HR detection using FISH in combination with SKY92 gene expression profiling in 258 MM patients (newly diagnosed [ND] MM:  = 109; relapsed/refractory [RR] MM:  = 149). HR SKY92 was significantly enriched in RRMM (57/121, 47.

Detecting electromagnetic radiation scattered from a tip-sample junction has enabled overcoming the diffraction limit and started the flourishing field of polariton nanoimaging. However, most techniques only resolve amplitude and relative phase of the scattered radiation. Here, we utilize field-resolved detection of ultrashort scattered pulses to map the dynamics of surface polaritons in both space and time.

Bringing optical microscopy to the shortest possible length and time scales has been a long-sought goal, connecting nanoscopic elementary dynamics with the macroscopic functionalities of condensed matter. Super-resolution microscopy has circumvented the far-field diffraction limit by harnessing optical nonlinearities. By exploiting linear interaction with tip-confined evanescent light fields, near-field microscopy has reached even higher resolution, prompting a vibrant research field by exploring the nanocosm in motion.

Biomarkers for cytopenias following CAR T-cell treatment in relapsed/refractory (RR) multiple myeloma (MM) are not completely defined. We prospectively analysed 275 sequential peripheral blood (PB) samples from 58 RRMM patients treated with BCMA-targeted CAR T cells, and then divided them into three groups: (i) baseline (before leukapheresis), (ii) ≤day+30, and (iii) >day+30 after CAR T-cell therapy. We evaluated laboratory data and performed flow cytometry to determine the (CAR) T-cell subsets.
