The purpose of this study was to analyze the efficacy of treatment and survival after administration of immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI) in Japanese patients and had endocrine-related and/or other immune-related adverse events (irAEs), as well as irAEs in multiple organs. This is a single-center, retrospective, observational study of 571 Japanese patients treated with ICI at our hospital. We evaluated the occurrence of Grade 3 or higher irAEs and the life expectancy and treatment efficacy after ICI administration.

We have reported a prominent increase of SSEA-4 in castration-resistant prostate cancer (CRPC) and its negative correlation with the androgen receptor (AR). Meanwhile, loss of AR has increased to approximately 30% with the growing use of androgen receptor signaling inhibitor for metastatic CRPC (mCRPC).

Purpose: In MRI examinations, makeup cosmetics may cause image artifacts or be adsorbed by a static magnetic field. However, there are no reports on each cosmetic material ingredient. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the displacement force and image artifacts caused by cosmetic ingredients and to clarify the cosmetic ingredients that need to be removed.

- The study investigates the maternal and neonatal outcomes of fetal occiput posterior (OP) deliveries in Japan, as OP positions are often linked to worse maternal outcomes compared to occiput anterior (OA) positions.
- Conducted at a tertiary hospital, the study analyzed data from 13,852 singleton, vaginal deliveries after 37 weeks from January 2000 to May 2023, finding a significantly higher incidence of complications like assisted deliveries and perineal lacerations in the OP group compared to the OA group.
- Although OP deliveries led to more maternal complications, such as increased labor time and risks of lacerations and hemorrhage, neonatal outcomes remained similar between the two groups.
Matrix-assisted laser desorption ionization (MALDI) and surface-assisted laser desorption ionization (SALDI) mass spectrometry (MS), which can detect biomolecules and polymers, are widely used in biochemistry and material science. Some compounds that are difficult to ionize using MALDI can be ionized using SALDI. However, it is difficult to obtain high ion yields using SALDI/MS.
