Bicelles, an artificial disk-shaped lipid bilayer, are commonly used for the structural and functional characterization of membrane-bound proteins in an environment similar to that in intracellular membranes. Because the dynamics of the lipids that constitute bicelles exert a significant impact on the structure and function of the inserted proteins, we investigated the mobility of lipid molecules in bicelles composed of DMPC (14:0 PC) and DHPC (06:0 PC) using solution NMR and MD calculations. C R relaxation experiments for the acyl groups demonstrated that increasing bicelle sizes limit the rotational diffusion of acyl chain H-C bonds in DMPC.

We investigated future variations in financial toxicity and HRQoL of patients with gynecologic cancer, evaluated using the COmprehensive Score for financial Toxicity (COST) questionnaire.
Methods: This multicenter study enrolled patients with gynecologic cancer incurring co-payments for anti-cancer drug treatment for over 2 months.
Real-world data on venous thromboembolism (VTE) in Japanese patients with gynecological cancer are lacking. The GOTIC-VTE trial aimed to evaluate the frequency of VTE-associated events and risk factors at the time of cancer diagnosis and during 1-year follow-up. From July 2017 to February 2019, patients with endometrial, cervical, ovarian, tubal, or peritoneal cancer who underwent VTE screening within 2 months before registration, were enrolled.

The aim of this study was to assess treatment outcomes of ESD for gastric neoplasia, with a focus on cases of non-curative resection.
Methods: This was a retrospective study of all individuals undergoing ESD for the treatment of gastric adenocarcinoma or dysplasia in a high-volume tertiary care center in the United States.
