Effect of ozonated oil versus chlorhexidine gel among Indian patients with chronic periodontitis.

The efficacy of Ozonated oil in treating chronic periodontitis compared to Chlorhexidine gel following Scaling and Root Planing (SRP) is of interest. Fifty-six patients were randomly assigned to two groups: one receiving Ozonated oil post-SRP and the other receiving Chlorhexidine gel. Periodontal indices (Plaque Index, Gingival Index), Periodontal Probing Depth (PPD), and Clinical Attachment Level (CAL) were measured at baseline, one month, and three months.

Purpose: Widespread internet usage worldwide allows increased access to medical and dental information and can be used for patient self-education. However, because there is little evidence about how the internet is impacting dentistry, this survey was conducted to determine how dental patients in Bangalore, India, use it as a source of information on oral health and to discover how it affects oral hygiene practices of patients.
