The relationship was established between cholesterol metabolism, adrenocortical function and the typological features of the higher nervous activity in children. Cholesterol metabolism was found to correlate with the type of the higher nervous activity. The children with deficient force and mobility of the nervous processes showed a decrease of glucocorticoid function of the adrenal cortex, proneness to an elevation of the cholesterol level in blood serum and delay of its excretion with feces.

The unceasing control of the medium pH changes facilitates the active influence upon the development of the wound pyo-inflammatory process in order to shorten time of treatment of patients. The application of ultrasound for the treatment of patients with purulent lactation mastitis results in more rapid healing of the wound.

The levels of higher fatty acids in the blood plasma and erythrocyte membranes were assessed in 25 children aged 3 to 15 years with severe traumatic lesions of the brain. The study was conducted with the purpose of deriving criteria indicative of the depth and severity of traumatic damage to the brain. The most informative parameters having diagnostic significance were established.
