In recent years, the field of oral and maxillofacial surgery has witnessed a remarkable transformation resulting from advances in additive manufacturing. Better known as "3 dimensional (3D) printing," this technology offers unprecedented precision and customization in implant treatment procedures. This technology has allowed providers to efficiently fabricate highly accurate dental models, surgical guides, and prosthetic components.

Studies on the trajectories of lipid profile with cognitive decline are scarce and inconsistent. We examined this association and explored potential effect modification. Lipid profiles including high-density lipoprotein cholesterol (HDL-C), low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), triglycerides (TG) and total cholesterol (TC) were measured at baseline, first and second follow-ups, and classified into trajectory groups.

We previously found that the replacement of glutamate at position 57 of the high-mobility group (HMG) box with the basic lysine residue in SOX2 alters interactions with OCT4 and turns SOX17 into a pluripotency factor. Here, we systematically interrogated how mutations at this critical position affect the cellular reprogramming activity of SOX17 in mouse and human.
