Background: Aboriginal people in rural and remote areas of the Northern Territory of Australia have suffered longstanding issues of homelessness and profound health and social inequities. The town and region of Katherine are particularly impacted by such inequities and have the highest rates of homelessness in Australia, composed almost entirely of Aboriginal people who represent 51% of the total population of 24,000 people. The region is serviced by a 60-bed hospital, and a small cohort of frequent attenders (FAs) represent 11% of the Emergency Department (ED) case load.

Older adults tend to perform more poorly than younger adults on emotional expression identification tasks. The goal of the present study was to test a processing mechanism that might explain these differences in emotion recognition-specifically, age-related variation in the utilization of specific visual cues. Seventeen younger and 17 older adults completed a reverse-correlation emotion categorization task (Bubbles paradigm), consisting of a large number of trials in each of which only part of the visual information used to convey an emotional facial expression was revealed to participants.

Objectives: There is limited epidemiological data on the performance of different refrigerator types for vaccine storage in the real world. This study aims to measure if the introduction of purpose-built vaccine refrigerators has reduced the cost of vaccine losses in South Australia.

Methods: Data were taken from a register for all recorded vaccine storage cold chain events in South Australia from 2008 to 2009 and a survey of vaccine providers conducted in 2009.

Objectives: To use (31)P solid-state MAS-NMR to determine which compounds form in phosphate-bonded dental casting investment material during setting, when the ambient temperature is altered. To determine whether they differ in material originating at the center of the mix from material that adheres to the mixing bowl wall.

Methods: (1)H high powered decoupled (HPDC) and (1)H cross polarized (CP) (31)P solid-state MAS-NMR spectroscopy were used at a resonance frequency of 121.

Objectives: To use (31)P solid-state MAS-NMR to determine the phosphorus compounds that occur in dental casting investment material: (a) as-received, (b) after setting and (c) after burn-out and discover whether such compounds are the same in each material across a product range.

Methods: [(1)H] High powered decoupling (HPDC) and [(1)H] cross-polarization (CP) (31)P solid-state MAS-NMR spectroscopy at a resonance frequency of 121.4 MHz were used.
