Coronary risk factor profiles according to different age categories in premature coronary artery disease patients who have undergone percutaneous coronary intervention.

Many studies have investigated the coronary risk factors (CRFs) among premature coronary artery disease (PCAD) patients. However, reports on the proportion and CRFs of PCAD according to different age cut-offs for PCAD is globally under-reported. This study aimed to determine the proportion of PCAD patients and analyse the significant CRFs according to different age cut-offs among percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)-treated patients.

Evaluation of the Relationship between Disability and Disease Severity, Cognitive Functions, and Insight in Patients with Schizophrenia.

Objective: : This study aims to examine the clinical characteristics, cognitive functions, and levels of insight, which are thought to be related to disability in schizophrenia patients, and to determine which variable will guide the clinician to predict the disability.

Methods: : Participants were 102 individuals with schizophrenia aged 18-60. All participants completed the social functioning scale and the Beck cognitive insight scale.

From tap to table: An assessment of drinking water quality in Perak, Malaysia.

Introduction: A study on the quality of drinking water was conducted at Air Kuning Treatment Plant In Perak, Malaysia, based on a sanitary survey in 14 sampling points stations from the intake area to the auxiliary points. This was to ensure the continuous supply of clean and safe drinking water to the consumers for public health protection. The objective was to examine the physical, microbiological, and chemical parameters of the water, classification at each site based on National Drinking Water Standards (NDWQS) and to understand the spatial variation using environmetric technique; principal component analysis (PCA).

Updates in Air Pollution: Current Research and Future Challenges.

Background: The United Nations has declared that humans have a right to clean air. Despite this, many deaths and disability-adjusted life years are attributed to air pollution exposure each year. We face both challenges to air quality and opportunities to improve, but several areas need to be addressed with urgency.

Evaluation of breast cancer awareness in female patients diagnosed with schizophrenia.

Objectives: In this study, it was aimed to investigate the awareness of female patients diagnosed with schizophrenia about breast cancer and to evaluate whether there was a difference in this awareness between the control group and individuals diagnosed with schizophrenia. Secondly, the frequency of breast cancer screenings of patients diagnosed with schizophrenia and the control group was compared.

Material And Methods: Individuals between 18 and 65 years of age who were literate and voluntarily gave informed consent to participate after being informed about the study were included.
