Efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab in patients with advanced urothelial carcinoma deemed potentially ineligible for platinum-containing chemotherapy: Post hoc analysis of KEYNOTE-052 and LEAP-011.

Background: First-line pembrolizumab monotherapy is a standard of care for platinum-ineligible patients with advanced urothelial carcinoma (UC). No global standardized definition of platinum ineligibility exists. This study aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of pembrolizumab monotherapy in patients with UC who met various criteria for platinum ineligibility.

Fine tuning for totally endoscopic mitral valve surgery: ERAS applications.

Aim: One of the philosophies of minimally invasive mitral surgery is to enhance recovery after surgery (ERAS). Beyond surgical applications, ERAS applications provide a complementary approach to optimize postoperative course and discharge. In this report, we aim to present institutional protocol for ERAS and its results in patients who underwent totally endoscopic mitral valve surgery (TEMVS).

Exploring the efficiency of nitrogenated carbon quantum dots/TiO S-scheme heterojunction in the photodegredation of ciprofloxacin in aqueous environments.

In this study, we developed a heterojunction photocatalyst, namely nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dots/titanium dioxide (CQDs/TiO), for the effective and sustainable treatment of ciprofloxacin (CIP) antibiotic in aqueous solution. First, CQDs were prepared from a chitosan biopolymer with a green, facile, and effective hydrothermal carbonization technique and then anchored on the TiO surface via a hydrothermal process. The morphological, structural, and optical properties of the as-prepared materials were characterized by using advanced analytical techniques.

Fetal epicardial fat thickness and modified myocardial performance index in late-onset fetal growth restriction.

Aim: In our study, we aimed to investigate the value of fetal epicardial fat thickness (EFT) and modified myocardial performance index (mod-MPI) in fetal growth restriction (FGR) that develops after the 32nd week of gestation.

Materials And Methods: Fifty-six pregnant women who met the inclusion and exclusion criteria were included in the study and were divided into two groups: pregnancies diagnosed with FGR after the 32nd week of gestation (FGR group) and those without (control group). Demographic and obstetric histories, ultrasonographic and clinical characteristics, fetal EFT and mod-MPI values, and neonatal outcomes of the groups were recorded, and comparisons were made between the groups.
