- A study tested a 10% P. aduncum EO in three semisolid forms (ointment, cream, and gel) against Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, measuring their landing and biting rates to evaluate efficacy.
- Results indicated that all formulations repelled over 65% of mosquitoes for 4 hours, with the ointment providing the longest protection time, suggesting that the cream and ointment formulations are the most viable for future development.
