Virtual reality simulation for mastery learning of wrist radiograph technique.

Introduction: Virtual reality (VR) simulation is a technology that empowers students and radiographers to practice radiography in a virtual environment that resembles real-life clinical scenarios. The purpose of this randomised study was to examine the relationship between clinical specialty and the ability to assess and obtain a lateral wrist radiograph using a VR simulator.

Methods: Radiographers and radiography students were recruited from the EFRS Research Hub at the 2024 European Congress of Radiology.

Aim: Postmortem Computed Tomography (PMCT) is gradually introduced at forensic institutes. Image reconstruction software can increase diagnostic potential in CT by increasing distinction between structures and reduction of artifacts. The aim of this study was to develop and evaluate novel image reconstruction parameters for postmortem conditions, to increase image quality and diagnostic potential of CT scans.

Background: Human genetic contribution to HIV progression remains inadequately explained. The type 1 interferon (IFN) pathway is important for host control of HIV and variation in type 1 IFN genes may contribute to disease progression. This study assessed the impact of variations at the gene and pathway level of type 1 IFN on HIV-1 viral load (VL).

Introduction: Social media (SoMe) is widely used as a communication platform in everyday life. Also, healthcare professionals have embraced SoMe as a communication tool for both peers and patients.
