Trial-by-trial neural variability, a measure of neural response stability, has been examined in relation to behavioral indicators using summary measures, but these methods do not characterize meaningful processes underlying variability. Mixed-effects location scale models (MELSMs) overcome these limitations by accounting for predictors and covariates of variability but have been rarely used in developmental studies. Here, we applied MELSMs to the ERP auditory mismatch negativity (MMN), a neural measure often related to language and psychopathology.

Prognosis prediction and immunotherapy optimisation for cryptogenic new-onset refractory status epilepticus.

Background: Cryptogenic new-onset refractory status epilepticus (cNORSE) currently lacks comprehensive knowledge regarding its clinical dynamics, prognostic factors and treatment guidance. Here we present the longitudinal clinical profiles, predictive factors for outcomes and the optimal duration of immunotherapy in patients with cNORSE.

Methods: This retrospective secondary endpoint analysis investigated patients with cNORSE identified from a prospective autoimmune encephalitis cohort at a national referral centre in Korea.

Clonal hematopoiesis in LGI1-antibody encephalitis.

Objective: Leucine-rich glioma-inactivated 1 (LGI1)-antibody encephalitis (LGI1e), the major form of autoimmune encephalitis (AE) presented with memory loss and faciobrachial dystonic seizure, commonly develops in aged population. Hematologic aging is often accompanied by clonal hematopoiesis (CH), a phenomenon in which specific mutations accumulate, potentially leading to autoimmune disorders or malignancies. Our research aimed to investigate the connection between clonal hematopoiesis of indeterminate potential (CHIP) and LGI1e.

Perceived Feasibility and Acceptability of HIV Prevention Research With Daily Oral PrEP Among Young Transgender Women (YTGW) Who Sell or Trade Sex in Bangkok and Pattaya, Thailand.

Young transgender women (YTGW) who sell or trade sex have among the highest HIV incidence rates in Thailand. Using qualitative methods, we assessed perceived acceptability, feasibility, and optimal design of a combination HIV prevention intervention including PrEP for YTGW. Key informant interviews were conducted during July 2016-July 2018 with 21 YTGW, aged 18-26 years, who sold sex and resided in Bangkok or Pattaya, Thailand.
