Intrasaccular flow disruption has become established for the treatment of wide necked and bifurcation aneurysms. The most successful current devices are the WEB (Microvention) and Contour (Stryker). The Artisse (Medtronic) is a novel intrasaccular device designed to treat a variety of aneurysm morphologies.

Thiazolidinedione-naphthalene analogues were synthesized and evaluated for antidiabetic activity as Pancreatic α-Amylase (PAA) and intestinal α-glucosidase (IAG) inhibitors. The activity of the compounds (14a-g,17a-k) is compared with acarbose as the standard drug and all the compounds shows good to moderate antidiabetic activity. In-vitro PAA and IAG inhibition assay is performed for the all compounds, the compounds 17e shows superior PAA and IAG inhibitory activity with respective to standard (IC = 12.

The primary objective of the present investigation is to develop and validate a simple, robust, and cost-effective isocratic reverse phase-high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC) method for determining isoliquiritigenin (ISL) in both bulk and biological samples using an analytical quality-by-design (AQbD) approach. The central composite design was employed for method optimization using Design Expert® software, by taking mobile phase ratio and flow rate as independent variables and peak area, retention time, tailing factor, and theoretical plates as dependent variables. The design suggested the use of a mobile phase consisting of acetonitrile:0.

ObjectiveThis study aimed to compare the relative physical recovery and symptoms after SARS-CoV-2 infection between groups confirmed positive or negative to early strains of COVID-19.MethodsA prospective, longitudinal cohort study compared outcomes of metropolitan adults polymerase chain reaction-tested for COVID-19 between March and November 2020 in Western Australia. Control matching was attempted: inpatients (gender, age) and ambulatory clinic (gender, age, asthma, chronic pulmonary disease).

Article Synopsis
  • EHDs are proteins that help transport things inside cells and can affect diseases like cancer when they don't work right.
  • Scientists created a special test to find a new molecule that can block one type of EHD called EHD4.
  • The discoveries from this study can help researchers find more drugs to target other similar proteins in the body.
