Background: The digital shift in higher education is moving from teacher-focused models to active learning with digital technologies, including the integration of game-based learning strategies. We aim to identify, assess, and summarize the findings of evidence and determine the effectiveness of game-thinking on learning outcomes in nursing education.
Methods: A comprehensive search for relevant literature was conducted between April and May 2022 Seven databases ERIC, Scopus, ProQuest Education Source, MEDLINE, CINAHL, Web of Science, and Embase were utilized to locate original, peer-reviewed papers published in English.
Aim: For several decades, British Columbia (BC), Canada, has been experiencing a housing crisis marked by a shortage of safe and affordable housing, which coincides with a severe drug poisoning epidemic in the region. We explore the impact of housing instability on mortality (all-cause, drug-related) among a cohort of people with HIV (PWH) in BC.
Methods: Data are from the Longitudinal Investigation into Supportive and Ancillary Health Services (LISA) study (n = 997).

Despite the use of topical and systemic anti-inflammatory or antimicrobial therapies, FD remains challenging to manage, with limited therapeutic advancements. We report a case of recalcitrant FD in a man in his 40s who experienced significant symptom improvement and hair regrowth following the initiation of tirzepatide for weight management.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFAfforestation is increasingly recognized as a critical strategy to restore ecosystems and enhance biodiversity on post-agricultural landscapes. However, agricultural legacies, such as altered soil structure, nutrient imbalances, and depleted microbial diversity, can slow down forest establishment or cause ecosystems to deviate from expected successional trajectories. In this opinion paper, we explore the potential of soil inoculations as a tool to overcome these challenges by introducing beneficial microbial communities that can accelerate ecosystem recovery and forest development.
