Objective(s): To identify trends in HIV diagnosis disparities among subpopulations of Black/African American and White persons by selected characteristics (i.e., sex assigned at birth, age group, and region of residence) in the United States during 2017‒2021.

Incidence of Sexually Transmitted Infections and Pregnancy Among Adolescents Experiencing Sex Trafficking.

Objective: There is a lack of data regarding the incidence of sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and pregnancy among adolescents experiencing sex trafficking. This study aimed to determine the incidence proportion of STIs and pregnancy among adolescents evaluated for sex trafficking at an urban tertiary children's hospital compared to the community adolescent population.

Methods: This retrospective, cross-sectional study looked at adolescents aged 11 to 21 years experiencing sex trafficking from March 2019 to March 2022.

The potential for AI to revolutionize conservation: a horizon scan.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is an emerging tool that could be leveraged to identify the effective conservation solutions demanded by the urgent biodiversity crisis. We present the results of our horizon scan of AI applications likely to significantly benefit biological conservation. An international panel of conservation scientists and AI experts identified 21 key ideas.

Sex-specific associations between cerebrospinal fluid inflammatory biomarkers and cognition in antiretroviral-naïve people with HIV in rural Uganda.

Globally, people with HIV (PWH) experience a broad spectrum of cognitive impairment that can be noted both before and after initiation of antiretroviral therapy (ART). Sex differences in immune function have been implicated in differential cognitive outcomes. Here, we report sex differences in cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) markers in relation to cognitive performance in a subset of ART-naïve PWH participating in the Rakai Neurology Cohort Study.
