 Tinnitus can be distressing, and it affects the quality of life (QoL) through psychological and cognitive impairments. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and notched sound therapy (NST) are tinnitus management approaches aiming to reduce symptoms and improve QoL via two different mechanisms. The CBT attains the cognitive principle, whereas the NST initiates tinnitus habituation.

Topoisomerase I (Topo I) has emerged as a validated molecular target in the pursuit of developing anticancer drugs due to its critical role in DNA replication and transcription. (+)-Pancratistatin (PST), a naturally occurring compound found in various plants, exhibits promising anticancer properties by inhibiting Topo I activity.

Treatment of heavy metals contaminated water: use of B. mojavensis BI2 derived lipopeptide and palm waste flour.

In the present work, we demonstrated the potential use of newly identified lipopeptides produced by B. mojavensis BI2 along with palm waste flour for the bioremediation of heavy metals contaminated water. The enhancement of radish seeds germination was used to evaluate the treatment efficiency.

Evaluating utility and feasibility of mismatch repair testing of colorectal cancer patients in a low-middle-income country.

Molecular pathology services for colorectal cancer (CRC) in Sudan represent a significant unmet clinical need. In a retrospective cohort study involving 50 patients diagnosed with CRC at three major medical settings in Sudan, we aimed to outline the introduction of a molecular genetic service for CRC in Sudan, and to explore the CRC molecular features and their relationship to patient survival and clinicopathological characteristics. Mismatch repair (MMR) and BRAF (V600E) mutation status were determined by immunohistochemistry.
