Preconception Care: A Concept Analysis of an Evolving Paradigm.

Aim(s): To clarify the concept of preconception care and develop a precise and inclusive definition to improve its implementation and impact on reproductive health outcomes.

Design: This concept analysis paper employs Rodgers' evolutionary method to analyse the concept of preconception care, examining its historical evolution, attributes, antecedents and consequences.

Methods: A comprehensive literature review was conducted using databases such as Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Scopus, MEDLINE and Google Scholar, covering publications from 2012 to 2024.

Preconception care interventions among adolescents and young adults to prevent adverse maternal, perinatal and child health outcomes: An evidence gap map.

Objective: To identify gaps in existing evidence on preconception health interventions to improve the health outcomes of adolescents, young adults, and their offspring.

Study Design: Evidence gap map (EGM) METHODS: Following the Campbell guidelines, we included reviews and interventional studies identified through searches on Medline and other electronic databases from 2010 to July 18th, 2023. Dual screening of titles/abstracts and full texts was conducted on Covidence software, followed by quality assessment and development of 2D-EGM using the EPPI-Reviewer and Mapper software.

Climate change's effects on their physical, mental, and social well-being worsen unique developmental challenges for adolescents. Background: Digital knowledge translation (KT) interventions play a crucial role in advancing adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH). Despite the extensive literature on their effectiveness, there's a lack of synthesized evidence on the efficacy of digital KT tools for adolescent ASRH globally.

Objectives: This review aimed to systematically identify and map existing empirical evidence on digital KT tools targeting ASRH outcomes and identify research gaps.

Immigrant adolescents in Canada face challenges accessing accurate sexual and reproductive health (SRH) information and services. Many challenges stem from taboos associated with SRH, cultural and religious restrictions, and social beliefs regarding the unnecessity of SRH education for adolescents. We explored the SRH experiences of immigrant adolescents in the context of their cultural and religious perspectives.
