Implementing an inclusive digital health ecosystem for healthy aging: a case study on project SingaporeWALK.

Objective: To pilot a digital health technologies ecosystem known as project SingaporeWALK (earables and pps for ommunity iving and nowledge) that build capacity in older adults, senior center managers, health coaches, and caregivers in using health technologies (eg, wearables, apps, exergames) collaboratively in a gamified way for active aging.

Materials And Methods: The SingaporeWALK ecosystem was set up through 3 initiatives: (1) co-developing technologies with stakeholders; (2) raising digital literacy and capacity building; and (3) cultivating community and intergenerational bonding for active aging through gamified technology use.

Results: Significant improvements in older adults' self-reported physical and mental health post-intervention were observed.

Recently, lipid metabolic reprogramming especially fatty acid oxidation (FAO) has emerged as a major driver of breast cancer metastasis. Analyzing the expression of major FAO regulatory genes in breast cancer, we found selective overexpression of acyl-CoA synthetase 4 (ACSL4) in TNBC, which is primarily attributed to the absence of progesterone receptor.

Currently, in the face of the growing global increase in fatty liver, and the necessity to explore new factors significantly affecting it, aquaporins (AQPs) have become the focus of interest for many researchers. AQPs are membrane integral proteins involved in the transport of water, glycerol and other small solutes.

Effect of scrotal support application on seroma formation following minimal access surgery for inguinal hernia: A randomised controlled trial.

Background: The incidence of seroma formation is high following laparoscopic surgery for an inguinal hernia. Literature has shown many intraoperative techniques to reduce post-operative seroma formation. The hypothesis was made that scrotal support may reduce seroma formation following laparoscopic or robotic hernia surgery.
