Social media and amblyopia: evaluating content and intent on Instagram.

: Social media is a widely-used avenue for the public to find health information. In particular, Instagram is a popular social media platform among adults who may have children within the amblyogenic age range, and it may be used to find amblyopia-related information. The purpose of this study is to assess the quality of the amblyopia information on Instagram.

Esophagitis, treatment outcomes, and long-term follow-up in children with esophageal atresia.

Objectives: Survival rates in children born with esophageal atresia (EA) with or without tracheoesophageal fistula (TEF) have improved; however, morbidity associated with the disease remains high. This study aimed to assess the prevalence of gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), fungal esophagitis, esophageal strictures, and long-term outcomes in children with EA/TEF.

Methods: We conducted a retrospective chart review on patients with EA/TEF who were seen at Children's Wisconsin from January 2003 to January 2023.

Background: Veterans have a variety of unique healthcare needs and receive care from both the US Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and private healthcare systems. Because healthcare students will likely treat veterans at some time during their career, it is important they gain exposure to working with veterans during their professional degree programs.

Case Presentation: This case report presents the development of an annual Veteran-Centered Care Conference (VCCC) at the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
