Background: Toxin-producing Clostridium difficile is the most common cause of nosocomial diarrhea in geriatric units.
Aim: The purpose of study was to check the impact of intensive staff education on rate of Clostridium difficile-associated disease in hospitalized geriatric patients.
Methods: The sampling frame was all patients suffering from diarrhea checked for Clostridium difficile toxin during the years 2017-2018.
The paper summarizes the results of the studies of gastric secretion in patients with duodenal ulcers alone and in patients with duodenal ulcers accompanied by gastric parasitoses. The findings indicate that gastric secretion values in patients with duodenal ulcers accompanied by gastric parasitoses tend to decrease. The features of gastric secretion in such patients should be taken into consideration during their pathogenetic treatment (H2-blockers of histamine receptors).
View Article and Find Full Text PDFThe frequency of adverse reactions to antituberculous drugs was 33.6%, according to the materials of mass screening of Group I contingents of the dispensary record (259 patients) at various levels of treatment (hospital, polyclinic, sanatorium). At the polyclinic level which in all cases was nearly used after hospital, the frequency of adverse reactions was half as much as at the hospital level which was due to the use of the intermittent method and, in most cases, at least 2 drugs.
