Objectives: This study focuses on mild-to-moderate severity cases to examine the triggers initiating kidney injury.
Materials: Patients aged ≥18 years with suspected heat-related illnesses at the Juntendo University Hospital Emergency and Primary Care Center between July and September 2020 and June and August 2022 were included.
Methods: Blood samples were obtained during their visit, and the patients were categorized into two groups based on their cystatin-based estimated GFR (eGFRcys) values: a kidney injury group (eGFRcys < 60 mL/min/1.
Purpose: Patients who develop metastatic melanoma have a very poor prognosis, and new treatments are needed to improve the response rates. Melanocortin-1 receptor (MC1R) is a promising target for radionuclide therapy of metastatic melanoma, and alpha-melanocyte stimulating hormone (α-MSH) peptide analogs show high affinities to MC1Rs. Because targeted alpha therapy (TAT) can be a desirable treatment for metastatic melanoma, this study aimed to develop an At-labeled α-MSH peptide analog for TAT of metastatic melanoma.

Bifunctional electrode materials that can convert solar energy into electricity and store chemical energy are a functional strategy for resolving the instability of solar energy. However, most commonly used transition metal oxide semiconductor materials lack broadband wavelength absorption responses, resulting in incomplete solar energy utilization. Herein, multielement-doped MoWO·0.

However, the relationship between SLFN-11 expression and clinical outcomes in patients with small cell lung cancer (SCLC) remains unexplored. Thus, we aimed to evaluate the impact of SLFN-11 expression on survival in patients with limited-stage (LS) SCLC.

It is essential to develop an objective index that is independent of imaging findings and useful for assessing the degree of tumor progression and indications for surgery.
Methods: We retrospectively evaluated the data of 79 patients with malignant pleural mesothelioma who underwent extrapleural pneumonectomy or pleurectomy/decortication at our institution between 1999 and 2022.
