Background: Using artificial intelligence (AI) to interpret chest X-rays (CXRs) could support accessible triage tests for active pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) in resource-constrained settings.

Methods: The performance of two cloud-based CXR AI systems - one to detect TB and the other to detect CXR abnormalities - in a population with a high TB and human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) burden was evaluated. We recruited 1978 adults who had TB symptoms, were close contacts of known TB patients, or were newly diagnosed with HIV at three clinical sites.

Objectives: The concept of beauty from within is a growing trend in the market and people now look for oral supplements that can enhance the well-being of skin from within. Within this principle, a proprietary pomegranate extract (Grantria), standardized to ellagic acid, punicic acid and punicalagin, was developed using ADOP (Advanced Oil-Powder) technology and was clinically evaluated for its efficacy and safety in healthy adults.

Methods: This evaluation was carried out as a randomized, placebo-controlled clinical study for 60 days at a daily dose of 300 mg.

Purpose Of Review: Hypertension remains a major chronic disease morbidity across the world, even in the twenty-first century, affecting ≈40% of the global population, adversely impacting the healthcare budgets in managing the high incidence of cardiovascular disease (CVD) complications and mortality because of elevated blood pressure (BP). However, evaluation and management of endocrine hypertension are not optimal in clinical practice. With three unique clinical case scenarios, we update the evidence base for diagnostic evaluation and management of endocrine hypertension in this review to inform appropriate day-to-day clinical practice decisions.

Hox proteins, a sub-group of the homeodomain (HD) transcription factor family, provide positional information for axial patterning in development and evolution. Hox protein functional specificity is reached, at least in part, through interactions with Pbc (Extradenticle (Exd) in Drosophila) and Meis/Prep (Homothorax (Hth) in Drosophila) proteins. Most of our current knowledge of Hox protein specificity stems from the study of anterior and central Hox proteins, identifying the molecular and structural bases for Hox/Pbc/Meis-Prep cooperative action.

Introduction: Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) infection or corticosteroid usage during the COVID-19 pandemic as risk factors for avascular necrosis (AVN) of the femoral head (osteonecrosis of the femoral head/femoral head AVN [FHAVN]), as well as its link to clinical and radiological outcomes, are poorly understood. Osteonecrosis, which results from a disruption in vascular supply to the femoral head, is a prevalent cause of hip joint deterioration and one of the most common reasons for total hip arthroplasty (THA)/total hip replacement in India and other Asian countries. This study will aid in understanding the condition's epidemiology and statistically determining the risk of disease related with pandemic exposure.
