The nasolabial angle (NLA) is one of the most critical parameters of the soft tissue profile when orthodontic treatment is required. The primary aim of this prospective cohort study was to compare the differences in the evaluation made on lateral photographs and cephalograms. The secondary aim was to evaluate the modifications of the NLA (nasal and labial components) after orthodontic treatment, including upper first premolar extraction.

Background: Papillary muscles are structures integrated into the mitral valve apparatus, having both electrical and mechanical roles. The importance of the papillary muscles (PM) is mainly related to cardiac arrhythmias and mitral regurgitation. The aim of this review is to offer an overview of the anatomy and physiology of the papillary muscles, along with their involvement in cardiovascular pathologies, including arrhythmia development in various conditions and their contribution to secondary mitral regurgitation.

Chronic rhinosinusitis with nasal polyps (CRSwNP) is a chronic inflammatory condition of the nasal passages and sinuses, often characterized by nasal congestion, loss of smell, facial pressure, and nasal discharge. Conventional treatments, such as corticosteroids and endoscopic sinus surgery (ESS), often provide only temporary relief, with frequent recurrence of symptoms. For patients with severe, refractory CRSwNP, biologic therapies have emerged as a promising treatment option.

A 65-year-old woman with a history of ductal mammary carcinoma and recent autonomic dysfunction underwent a Rb-82 chloride (RbCl) cardiac PET/CT scan that showed no ischemia or scarring, but significantly reduced myocardial flow reserve (MFR) (global: 1.5) and a CAC-Score of 0. The patient's chemotherapy history (paclitaxel, carboplatin, epirubicin, pembrolizumab 2 years before) with elevated Troponin T and NT-pro-BNP levels at that time, and now reduced MFR with 0 CAC suggests cancer-therapy-related cardiotoxicity.
