The Profile of Glucose Lowering Therapy in Persons with Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus in an Aging Russian Population.

We aimed to analyze the profile of glucose lowering therapy (GLT) in persons with diabetes mellitus type 2 (DM2) in an aging Russian population. A random population sample (n = 3898, men/women, 55−84) was examined in Novosibirsk, during 2015−2018 (HAPIEE Project). The design of the present work is a cross-sectional study.

Assessing the Hydrodynamic Effect on the Molecular Parameters of the Isoprene Polymerization Product in the Presence of a Neodymium-Based Catalytic System.

The paper presents findings on the kinetic regularities of polyisoprene production in the presence of neodymium-based catalytic systems for large-scale production processes. A mathematical model has been developed for batch and continuous isoprene polymerization. The study identified dependences of changes in the number-average and mass-average molecular weight of the resulting product on the length of the applied reactor cascade under continuous static operation.

The Impact of Hypoglycemic Therapy on the Prognosis for Acute Coronary Syndrome in Patients with Type 2 Diabetes.

The article discusses particular circumstances of acute coronary syndrome (ACS) in patients with type 2 diabetes (T2D). In addition, the available literature data and clinical guidelines reflecting the role of hypoglycemic therapy as a cardioprotection factor in ACS are analyzed. The article considers possible protective molecular mechanisms of various groups of drugs in ischemic cardiomyocytes.

Machine learning to predict pregnancy outcomes: a systematic review, synthesizing framework and future research agenda.

Machine Learning (ML) has been widely used in predicting the mode of childbirth and assessing the potential maternal risks during pregnancy. The primary aim of this review study is to explore current research and development perspectives that utilizes the ML techniques to predict the optimal mode of childbirth and to detect various complications during childbirth. A total of 26 articles (published between 2000 and 2020) from an initial set of 241 articles were selected and reviewed following a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach.

Impact of COVID-19 Lockdown in Eating Disorders: A Multicentre Collaborative International Study.

Background: The COVID-19 lockdown has had a significant impact on mental health. Patients with eating disorders (ED) have been particularly vulnerable.

Aims: (1) To explore changes in eating-related symptoms and general psychopathology during lockdown in patients with an ED from various European and Asian countries; and (2) to assess differences related to diagnostic ED subtypes, age, and geography.
