Background: There is a lack of longitudinal studies measuring student progression in clinical judgment. Previous studies measured gains in clinical judgment after 1 intervention or over 1 semester.
Purpose: This study evaluated the development and progression of clinical judgment in simulation throughout a prelicensure bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) program using the Lasater Clinical Judgment Rubric (LCJR).
Preclinical rodent models are essential research tools for improving understanding of physiological aging processes in humans. However, the translatability of findings obtained leveraging rodent models to humans is limited, likely due in part to differences in macronutrient composition of the diets. Here, we investigated the impact of a 3-month diet intervention in old male C57BL/6JN mice in which the macronutrient composition was aligned with that of a midlife/older adult in the United States, compared to a traditional rodent diet, and assessed various phenotypes that are typically altered with aging.

Psychological therapy is considered a gold standard non-pharmacological treatment for managing these conditions; however, a growing body of evidence also supports the use of lifestyle therapies for these conditions. Despite some clinical guidelines endorsing the application of lifestyle therapies as a first-line treatment for individuals with mood disorders, there is limited evidence that this recommendation has been widely adopted into routine practice.

We studied the pigmentary basis of tail color in the American Redstart (Setophaga ruticilla), a species of songbird with sexual dichromatism and delayed plumage maturation; younger males resemble females, only replacing their yellow feathers for bright orange ones after the first breeding season. The yellow rectrices of females and young males and the orange feathers of older males largely contain the same pigments, but in vastly different proportions.
