This study presents an innovative approach to improve implant biointegration and reduce implant-associated infections using porous poly(vinyl formal) nanocomposite matrices incorporated with gold nanoparticles and antimicrobial/anticancer drugs for plastic surgery applications. The porous matrices were characterized using physicochemical techniques and in vitro biochemical assays. The results demonstrated the biocompatibility of PVF nanocomposites and their potential for functionalization with various bioactive molecules and drugs, thereby enhancing their therapeutic efficacy.

Unlabelled: Cadmium compounds are highly toxic substances characterized by mutagenic, genotoxic and carcinogenic effects, and having high cumulative properties. Application of cadmium nanoparticles (NPs) in medicine stimulates the study of their mechanism of action at the cellular level and at the level of organs and systems, determination of biomarkers of their action, particularly in comparison with the ionic form. The aim of the study was to compare the features of cytotoxic and genotoxic effects of cadmium sulfide (CdS) NPs of different sizes on cell cultures of different histogenesis with those of cadmium chloride (CdCl2).

Unlabelled: The aim of the work was the synthesis of gold nanoparticles (GNP) of different sizes and the estimation of their biological activity in vitro and in vivo.

Materials And Methods: Water dispersions of gold nanoparticles of different sizes have been synthesized by Davis method and characterized by laser-correlation spectroscopy and transmission electron microscopy methods. The GNP interaction with tumor cells has been visualized by confocal microscopy method.

The expressed changes in the bacteria cells' plasma membrane ATPase activity values cells of Escherichia coli, which are used in the manufacturing of vaccines against cattle colienterotoxemia, have been revealed under the influence of lyophilization/rehydration process. Influence of gold (average size 20, 30, 45 nm) and silver (30 nm) nanoparticles in different concentrations on ATPase activity of native and rehydrated (delyophilized) bacteria cells has been studied. Gold and silver nanoparticles stimulated ATPase activity of native and rehydrated (delyophilizated) cells of the investigated strains.

The transconjugate containing hybrid plasmid (Te(R)Zn(R)lux+) was obtained using the conjugation method on Pseudomonasfragi T2(5) (Te(R)ZnR) strain and bioluminescent strain Protobacterium phosphoreum B7071 (lux+). The expression regulation of lux-genes on the obtained plasmid is carried out by promotor-operational area conjointly with zinc resistance genes. The cells of the obtained genetically modified bacteria have the ability to specific induced luminescence, which is a respond to zinc ions' presence in the measuring medium.
