Guillain-Barré Syndrome (GBS) is an acute polyneuropathy commonly preceded by infection, with growing recognition of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) as a trigger. We present a case of a 44-year-old male with HIV-associated GBS refractory to intravenous immunoglobulin (IVIG) therapy, who achieved remission upon starting highly active antireroviral therapy (HAART). There remains a lack of consensus on the management of this condition across the spectrum of disease, and the interplay between the therapeutic options is poorly understood.

Background: Health care staff should be given the opportunity to participate in research, but recruiting clinicians via their employing organisation is not always straightforward or quick in the UK. Unlike many countries outside the UK, very low-risk survey, interview or focus group studies can be subject to some of the same governance approval procedures as interventional studies. An exemplar study carried out by the NIHR funded Palliative Care Research Partnership North West Coast is used to highlight the challenges still faced by researchers and health care organisations when setting up a low-risk staff study across multiple NHS and non-NHS sites.

Previous studies have investigated the intricate relationship between cues and MI signals. However, the medium of presentation still remains an emerging area to be explored, as possible factors to enhance Motor Imagery signals.

Purpose: Adults with acquired communication disorders are particularly vulnerable to potential negative effects from the changes that arose during the COVID-19 pandemic. In this longitudinal study, we asked: How did the self-perceived impacts of the pandemic on adults with acquired communication disorders change over time?

Method: We developed an online survey to investigate changes in day-to-day behaviours, psychosocial elements, and communication abilities among members of a community-based stroke recovery centre in the USA. Participants included adults with aphasia or other cognitive-communication disorder from stroke or brain injury.

Background: Transcriptomic kidney profile testing and donor-derived cell-free DNA (dd-cfDNA) testing are new methods shown to provide early markers of graft inflammation during the post-transplant period. This study focused on utilizing clinical data to evaluate the application of these tests in detecting transplant rejection by comparing tests results to biopsy reports.

Material And Methods: We conducted a retrospective analysis of a prospectively collected database of all adult kidney transplant patients at SUNY Upstate Medical Hospital from 1 January 2014 to 1 December 2022.
