Interprofessional Education Simulation Project Using the Collaborative Care Model.

Background: Integrated behavioral health care (IBH), a team-based approach to care, involves behavioral health providers (BHP) to be utilized in primary care settings. Unfortunately, many BHP and primary care advanced practice nursing students do not receive IBH content in their educational curriculum. This article describes an innovative interprofessional simulation project (ISP) in a virtual IBH setting with primary care nurse practitioner and master's level counseling students.

Interpretability and clinical utility of the strength and stressors in parenting questionnaire.

This study aimed to enhance the interpretability and clinical utility of the strength and stressors in parenting (SSF) questionnaire, a parent-reported questionnaire designed to assess strength, stress and associated risks of mental ill-health in parents of children with developmental disabilities. Responses to the SSF and a demographic questionnaire were collected from 576 parents of children with (n = 203) and without (n = 373) developmental disabilities. To enhance the interpretability of the SSF, a subset of 129 parents were invited to complete an additional questionnaire consisting of three free-text questions regarding recent help-seeking behavior, experiences of mental ill-health and experiences of parenthood.

Abdominal Noncontrast Computed Tomography Scanning to Screen for Kidney Cancer and Other Abdominal Pathology Within Community-based Computed Tomography Screening for Lung Cancer: Results of the Yorkshire Kidney Screening Trial.

Background And Objective: The Yorkshire Kidney Screening Trial (YKST) assessed the feasibility of adding abdominal noncontrast computed tomography (NCCT) to lung cancer screening to screen for kidney cancer and other abdominal pathology.

Methods: A prospective diagnostic study offered abdominal NCCT to 55-80-yr-old ever-smokers attending a UK randomised lung cancer screening trial (May 2021 to October 2022). The exclusion criteria were dementia, frailty, previous kidney/lung cancer, and computed tomography (CT) of the abdomen and thorax within previous 6 and 12 mo, respectively.

Introduction: Digitisation of patient records, coupled with a moral imperative to use routinely collected data for research, necessitate effective data governance that both facilitates evidence-based research and minimises associated risks. The Generalisable Overview of Study Risk for Lead Investigators Needing Guidance (GOSLING) provides the first quantitative risk-measure for assessing the data-related risks of clinical research projects.

Methods: GOSLING employs a self-assessment designed to standardise risk assessment, considering various domains, including data type, security measures, and public co-production.

Radiology and multi-scale data integration for precision oncology.

In this Perspective paper we explore the potential of integrating radiological imaging with other data types, a critical yet underdeveloped area in comparison to the fusion of other multi-omic data. Radiological images provide a comprehensive, three-dimensional view of cancer, capturing features that would be missed by biopsies or other data modalities. This paper explores the complexities and challenges of incorporating medical imaging into data integration models, in the context of precision oncology.
