The Behaviour observation scale for Psychomotor Therapy for elderly people with dementia (BPMT-dem) was developed to (1) evaluate the cognitive, emotional and social functioning of people with dementia in psychomotor therapy, and (2) to facilitate the interdisciplinary communication in treatment of behavioural and mood disruptions. The objective was to investigate the homogeneity and reliability of the BPMT-dem73. The Mokken scaling procedure was used on items and 10 a-priori determined subscales in a sample of 105 people with dementia or severe cognitive impairments.

Background: People with a severe mental illness (SMI) increasingly receive ambulatory forms of care and support. The trend of deinstitutionalization accelerated in the Netherlands from 2008 and onwards without sufficient understanding of its consequences. The study protocol herein focuses on deinstitutionalization from the perspective of adults with an SMI living within the community in Amsterdam and aims at delivering better insight into, amongst others, their recovery, quality of life, societal participation and needs for care and support.

Background Non- compliance with drug regimens has a negative effect on symptomatology and is the largest predictor of relapse in people with Severe Psychiatric Disorder (EPA). When care providers are informed in good time that medication has not been collected and can act on it, compliance can be increased. Aim Assessment of usefulness and feasibility of a system for the Signaling and Reporting by Pharmacists of Uncollected Medication for people with an EPA (Dutch: 'SMANOM-EPA') within the current legal context.

Purpose: The Public Mental Health Care (PMHC) system is a network of public services and care- and support institutions financed from public funds. Performance indicators based on the registration of police contacts could be a reliable and useful source of information for the stakeholders of the PMHC system to monitor performance. This study aimed to provide evidence on the validity of using police contacts as a performance indicator to assess the continuity of care in the PMHC system.
