Van der Waals (vdW) magnets offer unique opportunities for exploring magnetism in the 2D limit. Metal-organic magnets (MOM) are of particular interest as the functionalisation of organic ligands can control their physical properties. Here, we demonstrate tuning of mechanical and magnetic function of a noncollinear vdW ferromagnet, NiCl(btd) (btd = 2,1,3-benzothiadiazole), through creating solid-solutions with the oxygen-substituted analogue ligand 2,1,3-benzoxadiazole (bod).

Calcium is a physiological antagonist of magnesium in vascular smooth muscle. Therefore, the study hypothesized that calcium is better suited for preserving systemic vascular resistance and preventing postspinal hypotension during cesarean delivery.

Studies comparing the intentional increase in oxygen delivery and normal oxygen delivery during general anaesthesia in elderly patients undergoing major abdominal surgery are limited and have reported contradictory findings. Therefore, the study aimed to evaluate the effect of intraoperative increase in systemic oxygen delivery on postoperative outcomes and quality of life in elderly patients undergoing major abdominal surgery. This randomised, blinded, parallel-arm, pragmatic clinical trial included elderly patients of >60 years of age undergoing major abdominal surgery.

Patients with IOP commonly report both childhood fractures and family history of osteoporosis, raising the possibility of genetic etiologies of IOP. Whole-exome sequencing analyses of different IOP cohorts identified multiple variants in melatonin receptor 1A () with a potential pathogenic outcome.

Integrating bio-transformations and entomopathogenic fungi into litchi cultivation can enhance symbiotic relationships, microbial enzymatic activity in rhizosphere, disease suppression and promote overall plant health. The integration of biological formulations and entomopathogenic fungi can significantly influence growth, nutrient dynamics, physiology, and rhizosphere microbiome of air-layered litchi (Litchi chinensis Sonn.
