Introduction: Tumor Treating Fields (TTFields) therapy used concomitantly with maintenance temozolomide through second progression after radio-chemotherapy is associated with improved survival outcomes compared to adjuvant temozolomide alone in individuals with newly diagnosed glioblastoma (GBM). Lomustine (CCNU) is frequently used as monotherapy or concomitant with other chemotherapy regimens as second-line treatment for recurrent GBM.
Case Presentation: We report a 59-year-old female patient diagnosed with -promoter methylated, isocitrate dehydrogenase-wildtype GBM (World Health Organization Grade 4) who received TTFields therapy concomitant with first- and second-line chemotherapy following partial resection.
Unlabelled: The aim of this study was to determine whether the additional use of SPECT/CT-technique improves the diagnostic value of planar lymphoscintigraphy in patients presenting with lymphatic transport disorders.
Patients, Methods: For a defined period of two years 36 consecutive patients (27 women, 9 men; age 27-87 years) were included in our study. In addition to planar scintigraphy further acquisition of the affected extremities or of the trunk was performed using SPECT/CT-technique.
Background: This study compared manually delineated gross tumour volume (GTV) and automatically generated biological tumour volume (BTV) based on fluoro-deoxy-glucose (FDG) positron emission tomography (PET)/CT to assess the robustness of predefined PET algorithms for radiotherapy (RT) planning in routine clinical practice.
Methods: RT-planning data from 20 consecutive patients (lung- (40%), oesophageal- (25%), gynaecological- (25%) and colorectal (10%) cancer) who had undergone FDG-PET/CT planning between 08/2010 and 09/2011 were retrospectively analysed, five of them underwent neoadjuvant chemotherapy before radiotherapy. In addition to manual GTV contouring, automated segmentation algorithms were applied-among these 38%, 42%, 47% and 50% SUVmax as well as the PERCIST total lesion glycolysis (TLG) algorithm.
Using atomically and momentum resolved scanning tunneling microscopy and spectroscopy, we demonstrate that a two-dimensional (2D) √3 × √3 semiconducting Ga-Si single atomic alloy layer exhibits an electronic structure with atomic localization and which is different at the Si and Ga atom sites. No indication of an interaction or an electronic intermixing and formation of a new alloy band structure is present, as if no alloying happened. The electronic localization is traced back to the lack of intra alloy bonds due to the 2D atomically confined structure of the alloy overlayer.

Methods: Ninety-six consecutive patients underwent treatment for malignant hilar bile duct tumors during 1995-2005. Of the 96 patients, 20 were initially treated with surgery (n = 2 R0 / n = 18 R1).
