Purpose: To improve the current method for MRI turbulence quantification which is the intravoxel phase dispersion (IVPD) method. Turbulence is commonly characterized by the Reynolds stress tensor (RST) which describes the velocity covariance matrix. A major source for systematic errors in MRI is the sequence's sensitivity to the variance of the derivatives of velocity, such as the acceleration variance, which can lead to a substantial measurement bias.

Mindfulness- and acceptance-based programmes for obsessive-compulsive disorder: A systematic review and meta-analysis.

Mindfulness- and acceptance-based programmes (MABPs) in the treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) are increasingly gaining research interest, yet a comprehensive systematic review and meta-analysis is missing. To fill this gap, we analysed 46 trials involving 2221 patients. Two independent reviewers screened records, extracted data, assessed risk of bias, and rated overall quality of evidence.

Coronal alignment does not enable to predict the degree of femoral and tibial torsion.

Purpose: Malalignment of the lower extremity can affect one, two or all three anatomic planes. We hypothesized an influence between the malalignment of the coronal and axial planes.

Methods: A total of 356 lower extremities of 226 patients were included.

Opioids have been the primary method used to manage pain for hundreds of years, however the increasing prescription rate of these drugs in the modern world has led to a public health crisis of overdose related deaths. Naloxone is the current standard treatment for opioid overdose rescue, but it has not been fully investigated for potential off-target toxicity effects. The current methods for pharmaceutical development do not correlate well with pre-clinical animal studies compared to clinical results, creating a need for improved methods for therapeutic evaluation.
