Acute hemorrhagic leukoencephalitis following the first dose of BNT162b2 vaccine against SARS-CoV-2: A case report.

Acute hemorrhagic leukoencephalitis (AHLE), is a rare inflammatory demyelinating disorder, variant of acute disseminated encephalomyelitis. The diagnosis of AHLE remains challenging due to the rarity of the disease and the lack of a reliable biomarker. We report here a case of a 73-year-old male patient with a progressive, low-grade febrile confusional syndrome 20 days after receiving the first dose of BNT162b2 vaccine against SARS-CoV-2.

Evaluating the importance of the tentorial angle in the paramedian supracerebellar-transtentorial approach for selective amygdalohippocampectomy.

Objective: A challenging step of the paramedian supracerebellar-transtentorial approach is to expose the anterior portion of the mediobasal-temporal region (MTR), a step that seems most affected by the steepness of the tentorium. The objective of this study was to define magnetic resonance imaging measurements that can predict the level of challenge in exposing the anterior portion of the MTR.

Syringomyelia secondary to cervical spondylosis: Case report and review of literature.

Syringomyelia secondary to cervical spondylosis is a rare entity to encounter in clinical practice. We discuss the case of a 53-year-old lady who presented with a syringomyelic syndrome and was found to have cervical spondylosis on imaging. Cine-MRI revealed an obstruction of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) flow in the cervical spinal subarachnoid space.

Background. Subdural collections of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) with associated hydrocephalus have been described by several different and sometimes inaccurate terms. It has been proposed that a subdural effusion with hydrocephalus (SDEH) can be treated effectively with a ventriculoperitoneal shunt (V-P shunt).

Sphenoid wing meningioma and glioblastoma multiforme in collision - case report and review of the literature.

The coexistence of two histologically different primary tumours in the same brain region is relatively rare. The situation where these tumours in collision appear in an area of a previously excised meningioma is even more rare and only two cases have been reported so far. We present the third case of a 73-year-old woman who underwent an uneventful excision of a right sphenoid wing meningioma.
