Comprehensive landscape analysis for usable real-world wound care data.

Background: The Wound Care Collaborative Community (WCCC) aims to assess current usable real-world data (RWD) sources to determine which real-world databases (DBs) are suitable and usable for studying the natural history of chronic wounds. Randomized controlled trials (RCTs) do not fully reflect the complexity of patients with chronic wounds. Using RWD, establishment of a scientifically grounded "road map" for RCTs is needed to better navigate the real-world complexity of the patients with chronic wounds.

Surgical Management of Congenital Pulmonary Airway Malformations (CPAM) in an Infant and a Toddler: Case Report Depicting Two Distinct Surgical Techniques With Successful Outcomes.

Congenital pulmonary airway malformations (CPAM) compose the major part of congenital lung malformations (CLM) and have traditionally been treated by pulmonary lobectomy. In terms of surgical strategy, lobectomy has conventionally been the preferred treatment for CPAM localized to a single lobe. More recently, alternative approaches including lung-sparing resections (LSR), such as wedge or non-anatomic resections and segmentectomy, have been suggested.

Prevalence of canine herpesvirus 1 and associated risk factors among bitches in Iranian breeding kennels and farms.

Background: Canine herpesvirus 1 (CHV-1) is an important cause of death in newborn puppies and of fertility problems in adult dogs. Identification of risk factors may help to reduce infection rates and alleviate concerns for dog owners and breeders. This study was designed to screen for CHV-1 infection in bitches of breeding kennels and farms in Iran and relate this to possible risk factors.

Background: The epidemiological burden of chronic diseases and their risk factors is increasing all over the world, especially in developing and low-income countries. Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) is one of the chronic diseases which has imposed a great financial burden on individuals and the society.
