The recently developed compound, tetramethylthiocycloheptyne sulfoximine (TMTHSI), has shown to be a promising strained alkyne for strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition (SPAAC), metal-free click chemistry. This research explores the properties of TMTHSI-based compounds via three aspects: (1) large-scale production, (2) unique stability in acidic conditions and its subsequent use in peptide synthesis, and (3) the functionalization of antibodies. Here, it is shown that (1) scale-up is achieved on a scale of up to 100 g.

This study examined relationships between the self-conscious emotions of shame and guilt, behavioral inhibition (as an index of anxiety proneness), and anxiety disorder symptoms in non-clinical children aged 8-13 years (N = 126), using children's self-report data. Results showed that there were positive and significant correlations between shame and guilt, behavioral inhibition, and anxiety disorders symptoms. When controlling for the overlap between shame and guilt, it was found that shame (but not guilt) remained significantly associated with higher levels of anxiety proneness and anxiety symptoms.

Risk assessment is increasingly used as a scientific process to assess the potential for adverse health effects to occur and as a basis for management of unacceptable risks. For each risk assessment activity, the purpose of the assessment should be clearly stated. For Listeria monocytogenes, the purpose of risk assessment may be providing information on the relative contribution of listeriosis to infectious diseases.
