Mammalian gut microbial communities are thought to play a variety of important roles in health and fitness, including digestion, metabolism, nutrition, immune response, behavior, and pathogen protection. Gut microbiota diversity among hosts is strongly shaped by diet as well as phylogenetic relationships among hosts. Although various host factors may influence microbial community structure, the relative contribution may vary depending on several variables, such as taxonomic scales of the species studied, dietary patterns, geographic location, and gut physiology.

Hydrothermal liquefaction (HTL) is a promising technology for converting wet organic waste such as sewage sludge into biocrude oil while simultaneously destroying per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). This study tracked the fate and degradation of six representative PFAS in water to address the effect of perfluoroalkyl chain length on degradation rates and the formation of volatile transformation products at 300-350 °C. While perfluorosulfonic acids were recalcitrant, perfluoroalkyl carboxylic acids (PFCAs) were rapidly and completely decarboxylated to hydroperfluoroalkanes (1 H-perfluoroheptane in the case of perfluorooctanoic acid).

In recent years, mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) have emerged as promising anti-- cancer mediators with the potential to treat several cancers. MSCs have been modified to produce anti-proliferative, pro-apoptotic, and anti-angiogenic molecules that could be effective against a variety of malignancies. Additionally, customizing MSCs with cytokines that stimulate pro-tumorigenic immunity or using them as vehicles for traditional chemical molecules with anti-cancer characteristics.

Aim: The goal of this study is to optimisation and evaluation of dopamine-loaded NLC (NLC-DOPA) for achieve dopamine concentrations into brain for treatment of Parkinson's disease which causes progressive neuronal death.

Method: NLC-DOPA prepared by homogenisation method using solid lipids (Cholesterol and Soya lecithin), liquid lipid (Oleic acid) and surfactant (Poloxamer- 188) as major excipients, optimised by central composite design using design expert-13 software. The optimised formulations were characterised by particle size, zeta potential, entrapment efficiency, SEM, TEM, FTIR, DSC, XRD, stability study and drug release.

Background: Host associated gut microbiota are important in understanding the coevolution of host-microbe, and how they may help wildlife populations to adapt to rapid environmental changes. Mammalian gut microbiota composition and diversity may be affected by a variety of factors including geographic variation, seasonal variation in diet, habitat disturbance, environmental conditions, age, and sex. However, there have been few studies that examined how ecological and environmental factors influence gut microbiota composition in animals' natural environments.
