Background And Aim: The healing of diabetic foot ulcers (DFUs) can be hindered by the susceptibility of the surrounding intact skin to pro-inflammatory proteases. A conditioned media, known as PTT-6, derived from mesenchymal stem cells found in the lining of red deer umbilical cords, has been formulated to protect the intact peri-wound skin of DFUs. The aim is to evaluate the clinical effectiveness of PTT-6 in managing peri-wound intact skin in hard-to-heal DFUs.

Statement Of Problem: Scientific evidence to determine the clinical performance of angled screw channel (ASC) versus straight screw channel (SC) implant-supported prostheses is lacking.

Purpose: This systematic review and meta-analysis investigated the mechanical and biological complications of ASC compared with those of SC implant-supported prostheses.

Material And Methods: A systematic search was conducted by following the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guideline in the PubMed, Embase, and Web of Science databases and was supplemented with a manual search for clinical studies reporting the mechanical and biological complications of ASC compared with those of SC implant-supported prostheses.

Activating the lattice oxygen can significantly improve the kinetics of oxygen evolution reaction (OER), however, it often results in reduced stability due to the bulk structure degradation. Here, we develop a spinel FeCoCrO with active lattice oxygen by high-throughput methods, achieving high OER activity and stability, superior to the benchmark IrO. The oxide exhibits an ultralow overpotential (190 mV at 10 mA cm) with outstanding stability for over 170 h at 100 mA cm.

Battery health assessment and recuperation play crucial roles in the utilization of second-life Li-ion batteries. However, due to ambiguous aging mechanisms, it is challenging to estimate battery health and devise an effective strategy for cell rejuvenation. This paper presents aging and reconditioning experiments of 62 commercial lithium iron phosphate cells, which allow us to use machine learning models to predict cycle life and identify important indicators of recoverable capacity.
