Background: Doctors' unwillingness to share responsibility acts as a major barrier to interprofessional collaboration (IPC). Educating both doctors and allied health professionals in taking on or relinquishing responsibility could enhance IPC. Yet there is no evidence that these educational efforts increase IPC willingness.

The identification of polar and neutral lipid species as biomarkers in complex biological samples is a key task in clinical and life sciences. Electrospray and plasma-based ionization techniques are necessary to cover the full range of lipidomes, owing to their limited molecular polarity ranges. However, combining both to generate hybrid spectra is difficult without averaging spectra, as electrospray and plasma sources operate under vastly different conditions.

Background: The objective of the in vitro study was to evaluate the impact of two adhesive removal techniques on the surface roughness of the human enamel surface using laser scanning confocal microscopy (LSCM).

Methods: Forty healthy first upper molar teeth were included in this experiment (20 teeth per each group). T0 measurement of surface roughness parameter of the teeth were conducted using LSCM.

Fish oil and vitamin D in pregnancy for the prevention of early childhood asthma: study protocol for two double-blinded, randomised controlled trials.

Introduction: Previous randomised controlled trials (RCTs) have indicated a protective role of pregnancy supplementation with fish oil and high-dose vitamin D, respectively, on offspring asthma, infections and several other disorders in early childhood. However, current evidence is not considered sufficient for recommending these supplements in pregnancy. In two RCTs, we aim to investigate whether these protective effects can be confirmed in larger trials with the goal of changing clinical practice and improving child health.

Automated entrance monitoring to investigate honey bee foraging trips using open-source wireless platform and fiducial tags.

Honey bee foraging is a complex behavior because it involves tens of thousands of organisms making decisions about where to collect pollen and nectar based on the quality of resources and the distance to flowers. Studying this aspect of their biology is possible through direct observations but the large number of individuals involved in this behavior makes the implementation of technologies ideal to scale up this type of study. Consequently, there is a need for instruments that can facilitate accurate assessments of honey bee foraging at the colony level.
