The use of boron minerals as an additive is important in terms of reducing CO emissions and providing input to the economy. Sustainable natural colemanite was subjected to calcination at 550 °C in order to concentrate the amount of BO. For the characterization of calcined mineral, XRD, TGA/DTA, and BO component tests were carried out.

Article Synopsis
  • * PTWA was tested as a partial replacement for ordinary Portland cement in concrete by varying its ratio while keeping ground blast furnace slag constant, and a series of experiments analyzed both mineralogical properties and mechanical performance over time.
  • * Results showed that while using PTWA reduced setting times of the concrete mixtures, it also led to decreased overall performance compared to standard mixes, suggesting a complicated relationship that could potentially benefit the environment when combined with other materials like GBFS.

Introduction: The aim of the present study was to evaluate the effects of different polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) phenotypes using first-trimester placental three-dimensional power Doppler indices and placental volume.

Methods: In this prospective case-control study, 170 pregnant women who met the inclusion criteria were divided into five groups according to PCOS phenotype: non-PCOS control (n = 34), PCOS phenotype A (n = 34), PCOS phenotype B (n = 34), PCOS phenotype C (n = 34), and PCOS phenotype D (n = 34). The primary outcomes determined in the present study were the differences in placental volume and placental flow index (FI), vascularization flow index (VFI), vascularization index (VI), and uterine artery pulsatility index (PI) betweenthe PCOS groups and control group.

Background: Chronic granulomatous disease (CGD), one of the phagocytic cell defects, is the primary immunodeficiency caused by dysfunction of the NADPH oxidase complex in neutrophils.

Methods: The clinical, demographic and laboratory findings of 17 CGD patients who were followed-up between 2002 and 2021 were obtained retrospectively from the records of the patients.

Results: The number of male and female patients was 10/7.
