Introduction: Urinary complications after kidney transplantation are common and can compromise renal function. While they are mainly attributed to ischemic lesions of the ureter, there is no existing method to evaluate its vascularization during surgery. The aim of the study was to evaluate if indocyanine green, revealed by infra-red light andused to visualize tissue perfusion, could provide an appreciation of the ureter's vascularization during kidney transplantation.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFObjectives: To report our experience with a case of a child with bilateral testicular micro-lithiasis (TML) who developed bilateral metachronous testicular germ cell tumor (TGCT) and determine the most appropriate follow-up and care management in children with testicular micro calcifications in regards to the theoretical risk of testicular cancer.
Case Report: A 12 year-old boy was diagnosed with TGCT and TML. Ten years after complete remission, he presented with a recurrence on the contralateral testis.
Purpose: To assess the prognostic significance of lymphovascular invasion (LVI), maximum tumor diameter (MTD), high-grade prostatic intraepithelial neoplasia, perineural invasion, and length of positive surgical margins after robot-assisted radical prostatectomy (RARP).
Methods: A single-institution prospective analysis of all patients who underwent RARP for localized prostate cancer was performed between January 2005 and June 2013. The primary end point was biochemical recurrence-free survival (BRFS).
Purpose: The prostate cancer (PCa) treatment is multimodal. Thus multidisciplinary team management (MDTM) decision-making process appears as a tool to answer all aspects of PCa treatment. Our aim was to evaluate the reproducibility of therapeutic decisions made at MDTM.
