Amyloidosis is a systemic disease which affects a variety of body organs and systems, and is characterized with the deposition of hyalin, eosinophilic, protein-like material in the tissues. Primary amyloidosis of the urinary tract is an extremely rare localization and every published case report represents interest. The authors present a rare case of primary localized amyloidosis of the bladder, which mimics itself as a neoplastic formation and imposes significant diagnostic and therapeutic difficulties.
