Objective: Integrating Patient-Reported Outcome Measures (PROMs) into clinical practice is increasing, with research showing benefits in patient outcomes. However, evidence regarding patient's acceptance of PROMs is limited. Sydney Cancer Survivorship Centre (SCSC) clinic is a multidisciplinary clinic where clinicians use PROMs to guide patient consultation.

Short-Term Outcome of Patients in Delirium at Medical Intensive Care Unit.

Background: Delirium is highly prevalent in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), and managing it in critically ill patients with severe comorbidities is challenging due to transient nature of symptoms. However its significance is underestimated, often overlooked and misdiagnosed by healthcare providers. In Nepal, limited studies has been done on delirium in medical ICUs hence this study aims to assess short-term outcome of admitted patients in delirium.

Background And Objectives: Cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) are main cause of mortality and morbidity among women globally. Menopause, aging and different factors in collaboration leads to increased risk for CVDs among postmenopausal women but study on risk factors of CVDs among postmenopausal women is limited in Nepal. Therefore, we aimed to assess prevalence of behavioural and metabolic risk factors of cardiovascular disease among post-menopausal women.

Understanding and Treating Laryngeal Mask Airway-Induced Intraoperative Hiccups.

The laryngeal mask airway (LMA) has gained popularity as an airway management device in the perioperative setting due to its ease of use, reduced invasiveness compared to endotracheal intubation, and lower incidence of complications. However, hiccups, though relatively uncommon, can pose a significant challenge during the perioperative period when an LMA is in place. Abrupt movement because of hiccups can lead to delay in surgery as well as interfere with surgical instrumentation.
