Association of podoplanin expression to histopathological grades of oral epithelial dysplasia and oral squamous cell carcinoma.

Objective: To determine the expression of podoplanin, and to correlate it with histopathological grades in oral epithelial dysplasia and oral squamous cell carcinoma cases.

Methods: The retrospective, analytical, cross-sectional study was conducted at the City Laboratory, Peshawar, Pakistan, and comprised specimen block data of histologically diagnosed cases of oral benign lesions, dysplastic lesions and oral squamous cell carcinoma from January 2017 to August 2021. Two sections (4um) were cut from each specimen block for Haematoxylin and Eosin staining and immunohistochemistry.

Depression among Peri- and Post-Menopausal Women during COVID-19 Pandemic in Chandigarh, North India: A Study from Community.

Background: Peri- and post-menopausal women are vulnerable to suffer from mental health problems including depression, anxiety, and stress, which might have increased during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Objective: To estimate the prevalence of depression and associated factors among peri- and post-menopausal women during the COVID-19 pandemic in Chandigarh.

Materials And Methods: A community-based cross-sectional study was conducted among 200 urban peri- and post-menopausal women of age 40-60 years in Chandigarh, from May to June 2021.

Catch-up and Catch-down Growth in Term Healthy Indian Infants From Birth to Two Years: A Prospective Cohort Study.

Background: Catch-up in the first two years of life may help in reducing the growth deficit.

Objective: To study growth pattern of term infants from birth to 2 years, focusing on catch-up and catch-down growth (increase or decrease in z-score >0.67) in weight and length.

Solid lipid nanoparticles containing anti-tubercular drugs attenuate the Mycobacterium marinum infection.

The present study aimed to formulate anti-tubercular drugs (Rifampicin, Isoniazid and Pyrazinamide) loaded solid lipid nanoparticles (ATDs-SLNs) using microemulsion technique for oral administration. Central composite designed (CCD) was applied to study the effect of stearic acid (X), Compritol® 888 ATO (X) and equal ratio of poloxamer 188: sodium taurocholate (% w/w) (X) on particle size, zeta potential and entrapment efficiency. The optimised formulation (SLN) was found to be spherical in shape with mean particle size 187.
