The Gore iliac branch endoprosthesis (IBE) enables internal iliac artery (IIA) reconstruction, extending the indications of endovascular aneurysmal repair (EVAR); however, the up-and-over technique is challenging. This study aimed to clarify the advantages and procedural limitations of the up-and-over technique. From January 2019 to October 2022, 22 patients who underwent IIA reconstruction with Gore IBE were enrolled.

The objectives of this study were to measure outdoor gait parameters using an In-Shoe Motion Sensor System (IMS) and evaluate how different types of surfaces affect various gait dynamics. Accurate outdoor gait data are crucial for effective fall risk assessment because surface irregularities and tripping hazards often result in falls during walking. An IMS was used in this study to collect spatiotemporal, spatial, and foot parameters from 27 healthy adults walking on indoor asphalt, soil, and grass surfaces.

Advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) are driving a paradigm shift in the field of medical diagnostics, integrating new developments into various aspects of the clinical workflow. Neuroendocrine neoplasms are a diverse and heterogeneous group of tumors that pose significant diagnostic and management challenges due to their variable clinical presentations and biological behavior. Innovative approaches are essential to overcome these challenges and improve the current standard of care.

Fermented plant product (FPP) is a dietary supplement made by fermentation and aging of a variety of plants, including fruits, vegetables, and grains. A previous study has shown that oral FPP supplementation prevents the development of allergic rhinitis-like nasal symptoms in a murine model of Japanese cedar pollinosis without affecting systemic immune response. However, the mode of action by which FPP exerts an anti-allergic effect remains to be elucidated.

Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDAC) poses a significant challenge due to late-stage diagnoses. To improve patient outcomes, early intervention in precursor lesions such as intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasm (IPMN) is crucial. However, early intervention must be balanced against overtreatment of low-risk lesions that are unlikely to progress, underscoring the need to better understand molecular alterations in neoplastic cells and changes in the tumor microenvironment (TME) that drive the progression of IPMNs.
