[Ultrasound, computer tomography and angiography in the diagnosis of dissecting aortic aneurysm].

The findings obtained by ultrasound, CT and angiographic examinations of 75 patients with dissecting aortic aneurysms operated on at the M.M.A.

Evaluation of diagnostic reliability of radionuclide phlebography using 99mTc-MAA to detect deep venous thrombosis; its role in establishing indications for inferior vena cava filter implantation.

Radionuclide phlebography (RNP) of the lower extremities and pelvis was performed using 99mTc-MAA in 40 patients with pulmonary thromboembolism. Deep venous thrombosis (DVT) was found in all patients, more frequently in the right calf and in the left iliac veins in 20 patients (55%). RNP and contrast phlebography (CP) were performed in 18 patients and confirmed the presence of DVT in all cases.

[Duplex sonography in the diagnosis of ischemic disease of the lower extremity. Comparative study with angiography].

The aim was to study possibilities of duplex sonography in evaluation of ischemic diseases of the lower extremities. The results obtained were compared with angiographic findings and high correlation of the results was obtained. Duplex sonography is a simple, safe, noninvasive method in diagnosing the site and degree of stenotic changes on the arteries of the lower extremities.
