DNA replication origins play a crucial role in cellular division and are evolutionarily conserved across domains. This study investigated the evolutionary transitions of replication origins between archaea and bacteria by analyzing 2733 bacterial and 257 archaeal genomes. Our findings revealed that certain methanogens and bacteria share phylogenetic proximity, suggesting evolutionary interactions across diverse ecological systems.

Our study focused on enhancing the production of anthraquinone derivatives in Oldenlandia umbellata using fungal elicitors. Aspergillus niger, Mucor prayagensis, and Trichoderma viride were used to elicit the anthraquinone derivatives in root cultures. The elicitation process led to an increase in the production of phytochemicals and secondary metabolites, with the highest total protein content observed in A.
