Background: The pathomechanism of blast traumatic brain injury (TBI) and blunt TBI is different. In blast injury, evidence indicates that a single blast exposure can often manifest long-term neurological impairments. However, its pathomechanism is still elusive, and treatments have been symptomatic.

Animals were euthanised at 0-, 1-, 7- and 28-days post-exposure. Analysis by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) of the liver and kidneys showed that extrapulmonary translocation was below the limits of detection.

The developed aminomethylation strategy involves a Pd-catalyzed interrupted borrowing hydrogen strategy by utilizing MeOH as the methylene source. A wide variety of imidazo[1,5-]pyridines and secondary amines were explored for the developed strategy.
