The primary aim of this study was to evaluate, using conventional radiographic imaging, the height, angulation, and mesiodistal position of impacted maxillary canines to determine if these variables are significantly associated with the palatal or buccal positioning of the tooth. A retrospective analysis was conducted on all patients diagnosed and treated for at least one impacted maxillary canine over a 4-year period in the Principality of Asturias. The final sample included 159 impacted canines.

In addition to systemic, respiratory, and cardiovascular effects, vaping is associated with an increased risk of gingivitis and periodontal disease as well as reduced antioxidant capacity of saliva.

Background: Juvenile recurrent parotitis (JRP) is characterized by recurrent episodes of painful parotid swelling in children. The purpose of this systematic review was to determine the diagnostic and therapeutic effectiveness of sialendoscopy in children affected by JRP.
Methods: A systematic literature search was performed in PubMed, EMBASE, Scopus and the Cochrane Library until April 2022, without language restrictions or specified start date.
Objective: Intestinal intussusception is difficult to diagnose in adults because the symptoms are nonspecific. However, most have structural causes that require surgical treatment. This paper reviews the epidemiologic characteristics, imaging findings, and therapeutic management of intussusception in adults.

Methods: This retrospective study included 63 patients with cancer of the sigmoid or rectum. We assessed the patterns of IMA in 3 subtypes: type A (independent left colic artery [LCA]), type B (LCA and sigmoid artery arising in a common trunk) and type C (LCA, sigmoid artery, and superior rectal artery with a common origin).
