Introduction: Infection control in intensive care units (ICUs) is crucial due to the high risk of healthcare-associated infections (HAIs), which can increase patient morbidity, mortality, and costs. Effective measures such as hand hygiene, use of personal protective equipment (PPE), patient isolation, and environmental cleaning are vital to minimize these risks. The integration of artificial intelligence (AI) offers new opportunities to enhance infection control, from predicting outbreaks to optimizing antimicrobial use, ultimately improving patient safety and care in ICUs.

The current comprehensive study showcases a meticulous synthesis of novel class of α-benzilmonoxime thiocarbohydrazide (BMOTC) derivatives, and manifesting their multifaceted potential as antibacterial, antifungal, and anticancer agents. The synthesis of target compounds was performed in three phases using literature methods. In the first step, benzilmonoxime is synthesized using benzil and hydroxyl amine hydrochloride, followed by benzilmonoxime imine using thiocarbohydrazide.

Nuclear blebs are herniations of the nucleus that occur in diseased nuclei that cause nuclear rupture leading to cellular dysfunction. Chromatin and lamins are two of the major structural components of the nucleus that maintain its shape and function, but their relative roles in nuclear blebbing remain elusive. To determine the composition of nuclear blebs, we compared the immunofluorescence intensity of DNA and lamin B in the main nucleus body to the nuclear bleb across cell types and perturbations.
